The recommendation from the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and the USDA (our government) is to Eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, on average 7 – 13 servings (1 serving 1/2 cup)

Fruits and Vegetables:
• Are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals
• Are anti – inflammatory
• Helps to enhance immune function
• Reduces DNA damage
• Improves circulation

For those of us who can’t, won’t or don’t know how to eat enough fruits and veggies to maintain their health I recommend Juice Plus+ (

The American Heart Association also recommends adding the Omega 3’s heart healthy fats such as fish and nuts plus adding a fish oil supplement to assist in the reduction of inflammation. For those who don’t like fish, I recommend a fish oil supplement. (

Once you have a heart attack it’s all down hill, no recovery. (fantasy)
• Dean Ornish's Program for Reversing Heart Disease (1976) reports

• Call 911, fast.
• Heart attack and stroke are life-and-death emergencies -- every second counts.
