Yesterday I attended a seminar featuring Dr. Richard Dubois , "Your Health Your Choice". This is a brief recap of the seminar for those who could not attend. It always amazes me no matter how much I learn about the science of nutrition, health and wellness there's always something more and new to learn. Everyday the researchers are learning more about how your body works, how you live impacts your health and what lifestyle choices you make, good and bad make a difference.
Dr. Dubois message is simple but strong it is
Your Health = Your Future & Your Nutrition = Your Choice.
Dr. Dubois began with the health care system we have been in for many years is a "disease management system". The medical system is designed to address disease and sickness. What this means is YOUR HEALTH is your responsibility. You are in control of your health, not the doctor, pharmaceutical companies or anyone else.
Since YOUR FUTURE is impacted by the state of your health then it's up to you going forward. Consider this, if you're unhealthy you will not be able to live a productive, independent and happy life. You will not be able to work, earn money or invest in your future. I'm reminded of a quote by Richard Baker that is something to think about ... "To get rich never your risk your health. For it is the truth that health is the wealth of wealth." Maybe my Granny was right ... "if you don't have your health, you don't have anything".

"Your Health is Your Wealth" he states he read this powerful quote that I will pass on to you “We are slowly digging our graves with a knife and fork” and I'll add by saying ... "one bite at a time".
YOUR CHOICE happens every day in every way. You choose what to eat and not to eat. When making food choices you can either choose to simply stop being hungry or fill your body with nutrition to keep it healthy and strong now and for the future. You choose with each decision, each meal and with each bite your take.
