Eat Your Fruits and Vegetables Save Yourself


Most people know that eating fruits and vegetables is important for good health, but most of us still aren’t getting enough. This September, C2 Your Health LLC is proud to participate in Fruits & Veggies – More Matters Month.
Everybody knows people who eat more fruits and vegetables experience less chronic disease than those who don't eat them. All you have to do is turn on the television, open your computer to the internet, or stalk your Facebook friends and up pops some news about the importance to making healthy choices usually in the form of "buy this product" which may or may not really be healthy. Fruits and vegetables are life saving and life giving. One thing is for sure, fruits and vegetables are natures medicine. 
The next time you get sick ask yourself, "Could I have avoided this sickness if I would have eaten more fruits and vegetables instead of whatever it was I was eating?"  For 90% of us the answer will be yes.Fruits and vegetables are power packed with life saving nutrients. Fruits and vegetables are natures medicine and are the prescription for better health. 
Eating a healthy diet with plenty of vegetables and fruits can help you:
  • Lower your risk for heart disease (high blood pressure, cholesterol), kidney stones, obesity, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Keep your body strong and active
What can you do?  
  • Keep a bowl of fruit handy where the whole family can see it.   
  • Cut up fruits and veggies ahead of time so they’re ready for quick, healthy snacks. 
  • Challenge your family to try a new veggie or fruit every week.
